He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil McCumsey and Marie McCumsey (Wahl); his former wife Sandra K. Coyle; and his siblings, Roger "Butch" McCumsey and Sheryl Soule.
He is survived by: his wife Helen McCumsey of Chenoa; his son Michael McCumsey (Erika) of Grapeview; his brother Lee McCumsey (Sandy) of Streator; and his granddaughter Bailey Elliott of Bloomington. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
