He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Barrett and Clara Barrett (Francis); his sister Dorothy Kruger; and his granddaughters, Samantha and Samara Berry.
He is survived by: his children, Melissa Crutcher (Dennis) of Clinton, IL and Duane Barrett (Teena) of Huntsville, AL.; his grandchildren, Brian Gates, Tiffany Gates, Kayla Robbins, Jeffrey Crutcher and Madison Berry; his great grandchild Bentley Gates; and his sister Mary Ellen Burnside. He is also survived by his family, friends.
The family requests that any donations in Jerry's memory be made to St. Jude, Autism Speaks or a charity of choice.
