She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Blackmore and Helen Blackmore (Clark); her husband John J. Gerdes; and her siblings, Ray, Paul Blackmore and Carol Waters.
She is survived by: her son Robert Gerdes (Jeanne) of Piper City, IL; her grandsons, Jimmy Gerdes of Chatsworth, IL and Ronnie Gerdes (Rhiannon) of Chatsworth, IL; her great grandchildren, Zachary (Lauren Meents), Devin (Brittni), Kyleigh, Mackenzie and Holden Gerdes; and her great great grandchildren, Stella, Kyler and Maddix. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions in her name may be made to St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church or Chatsworth Fire Department.
