He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Ellis and Bessie Ellis (Cox); his wife Debra Chesteen; his siblings, Ernest, Don Ellis and Mary Wells; and his son Roy "Scott" Ellis.
He is survived by: his siblings, Billie Butler of Virden, IL, Georgia Palmer of Springfield, IL, Marie Bietsh of Spring Hill, TN, Linda Spike of Banbridge, GA, Nancy Barnwell of East Point, FL and Bobbie Padjen of Spring Grove, IL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
