She was predeceased by: her parents, I. Wayne Smith and Helen Smith (Oliver); her sister Karen Jehling; and her nephew Jeff Jehling. She is survived by: her children, Rachel Sutter of Chatham, Sarah Antonacci (Anthony) of Chatham, Nathan Whittom of Chatham and Isaiah Whittom of Chatham; her sister Cheryl Siems (Daniel) of Galesburg; and her grandchildren, Olivia, Jacob, Megan and Ethan Antonacci. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
