James R. Kulavic Jr. Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James R. Kulavic Jr. of Chatham, Illinois, who passed away on March 31, 2025 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Sr. Kulavic and Margaret Ann Kulavic; his sons, Robert "Bobby" Kulavic (Ashton) and Kevin Kulavic (Casey); his wife Marie E. Zito; his grandchildren, Ethan, Alaina and Coen; and his siblings, Jay Kulavic (Julie), Margie Homeier (Skip), Mary Ann Pyle (Mark), Marilyn Brown (Steve), Jean Zoerner (John) and Jennifer Miller (Jeff). He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and close friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:45 PM at the St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church (700 E Spruce St, Chatham, IL 62629). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Springfield Muni Opera, P.O. Box 2255, Springfield, IL 62705 (an organization close to Jim's heart).
