Donald Joseph Gehlhausen Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 26, 2025, at the age of 88, Donald Joseph Gehlhausen of Chatham, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Donald Joseph may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Donald Joseph touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Gehlhausen and Alberta Gehlhausen (Peter); and his wife Carita Linzén of Finland. He is survived by: his daughter Sophia (Patrick); and his grandchildren, Sergio and Ari. He is also survived by his five brothers and sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church (700 E Spruce St, Chatham, IL 62629). A Mass will be held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
