He was predeceased by: his parent Wilbur Rolland; his granddaughter Paige Buxton; and his brother Wilbur Rolland Buxton, Jr.. He is survived by: his parent Ethel Buxton (Riddle); his spouse Claudette W. Oliver; his children, Nathan Buxton (Malea) of Charleston, Stephen "Sammy" Buxton of Charleston, James Buxton of Charleston and Cynthia Hubbard (Ernest) of Charleston; his siblings, Marion O'Bryan of Pesotum, Robert Buxton of Decatur, Edwin Buxton of Charleston and Stephen Buxton of Golconda; his grandchildren, Shannon Buxton, Zachary Buxton, Makalie Buxton, Brooklyn Buxton, Taelor Davis, Wyatt Buxton, Samantha Buxton, Colby Buxton, Ashleigh Buxton, Mathew Richardson, Samuel Richardson and Daniel Richardson; and his great grandchildren, Kai Christopher Garlin, Daisy, Gabriel and Piper Richardson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
