He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edwin Holt and Mary Holt (Gilpin); his wife Mary Ruth Stroud; his daughters, Amanda Smart (Franklin) of Brazil, Rebecca Holt of Niles and Jackie Cariaga of Rockford, Illinois.; his grandchildren, Michael Smart (Whitney), Jessica Smart, Elizabeth Smart and Raul Cardenas III; and his siblings, Edwin Holt (Debbie) of Chesterville, John Holt (Dorian) of Shelbyville, Indiana, Mary VanScyoc (Leo) of Charleston, Judith Fullerton and Charlotte Green.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his honor may be made to the Arcola Spanish Church or a Mission Ministry of the donor's preference, and mailed to Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Dr., Charleston, IL 61920.
