He was predeceased by: his brothers, Chuck, Walter, Norman and Bobby. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his sons, Eric Lynn Smith (Mickey Chapman) of Knoxville and Jason Wade Smith of Charleston; his grandchildren, Aaron Lane Smith (Stephanie) and Madison "Mattie" Tyler Smith; his great grandchild Chloe Olivia Smith; and his sisters, Catherine, Betty, Vada, Linda and Ruthie. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
