He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry P. Kerz and Margaret E. Kerz (Duncan); and his wife Roberta Mercer (Bobbie). He is survived by: his friend Curt Witt; his sons, Bret D. Kerz of Charleston and Bart M. Kerz (Sherri) of Springfield, Illinois.; and his grandchildren, Tory Kerz of Mattoon, Jesse Kerz (Tara) of McKinney, TX, Blake Kerz of Springfield, Rachael Steelman (Ben) of Westwood Hills, KS, Taylor Kerz, Madison Green of Charleston and Payne Kerz of Lawrence, KS. He is also survived by four great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
