He was predeceased by: his parents, George Dewey and Evelyn Genevieve Hacker (Inman); his son Edmund Hacker; and his brothers, Robert E. Hacker, Jay D. Hacker and Dewey Jene Hacker.
He is survived by: his wife Carla Coffey (Mullen); his daughter Dana Benge (Scott) of Charleston; his grandchildren, Michael Davison (Hou) of China, Nikolas Tadic and Taylor Olivia Benge of Charleston; and his great grandchild Xiyao Davison. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
It is requested that thoughtful donations in his honor be made to a charity of the donor's preference.
