Lilly M. Chapman Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lilly M. Chapman of Charleston, Illinois, born in Paris, Illinois, who passed away on September 18, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Thomas and Vallie Thomas (VanBuren); her spouse Norval Chapman; her brothers, Ross Thomas, John Thomas and Robert Thomas; her stepchildren, Mickie Shobe and Richard Chapman; and her close friend Jim Hunsaker.
She is survived by: her sons, Rod Nees (Beverly) and Allan Nees (Chris); her grandchildren, Michelle Sowell (Wesley), Kyle Nees (Chelsea), Coartney Zimmerman (CJ), Brian Shobe (Kacey), Brent Shobe (Courtney), Dawn McCallister and Brandi Cooper (Chad); and her great grandchildren, Tiffany, Kennedy, Walker, Waylon, Isla, Maddox, Willa, Mackenzie, Mason, Mia, Lane, Leni, Beau, Dean, Leyanna, Kaliyah and Jantze. She is also survived by 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Barkley Funeral Chapel (300 N Kentucky St, Greenup, IL 62428). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
For those who wish, the family suggests memorials be made to the donor's choice.
