He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert A. Bower and Mildred Bower (Leeds); his stepfather Frank Miller; and his son Paul Bower. He is survived by: his wife Gail Bower of Charleston, IL; his children, Bruce Bower of Champaign, IL, Brian Bower (Mary) of Charleston, IL, Douglas Bower (Mary) of Charleston, IL and Karen Smith (Ryan) of Tampa, FL; his grandchildren, Matthew Bower, Benjamin Bower, Libby Bower, Brian Bower Jr., Michael Bower, Evan Bower, Andrew Bower, Sarah Bower and Tristan Smith; and his great grandchildren, Gregory Bower, Jacasta Bower, Ally Bower and Dylan Bower. He is also survived by child, he was often surprised and delighted with his many wonderful children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations in his honor may be given to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
