It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Kenneth Bence (Charleston, Illinois), born in Mattoon, Illinois, who passed away on March 29, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Corwin Henry and Edith Bence (Long); his children, Vickie Mercer of Midway, Glenda Beckett of Salem, Pam Hernandez, Dawn Bence of Springfield, David Bence of Charleston and Kevin Bence (Jill) of Hoopeston, Illinois; his pet Gertie; his son Stephen Bence; his sisters, Vivian Hall and Wanda Bence; and also Debbie Hays. He was also cherished by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Memorials in his honor may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Coles County Animal Shelter, or to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
