He is survived by: his wife Phyllis; his sons, Kent (Sharla) of Bloomington, Scott (Linda) of Dekalb and Brian (Sherri) of Indianapolis, Indiana; his grandchildren, Kaila Mercer (Jason), Clarissa, Chloe, Cassidy, Kathleen and Carly; his sister Cheryl England of Ramsey; and his brother-in-law Don Peabody (Judy) of Terre Haute, Indiana. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
John's faith in God served as a foundation and a guide for the way in which he lived his life and his treatment of others.
