He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Edwards and Margaret "Louise" Edwards (Ashbrook); and his siblings, Doris Golladay, Margery Young and Ralph Edwards.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Edwards of Charleston, IL; his daughters, Jill Sweeney (Jerry) of Charleston, IL and Jana Drake (Scott) of Wiesbaden, Germany; and his grandchildren, Christina Henry (John) of Oakland, IL, Nathan Sweeney (Leah) of Hixon, TN, Ashlyn Daughtery (Jacob) of Mattoon, IL, Jordyn Drake of Incirlik, Kamryn Estera (Louie) of Mahomet, IL, Jerrod Drake of St. Louis, MO, Keyrstyn Drake of Bourbonnais, IL and Kylyn Drake of Wiesbaden, Germany. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Adams Funeral Chapel (2330 Shawnee Dr, Charleston, IL 61920). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at the Mound Cemetery.
