We are sad to announce that on February 9, 2019, at the age of 84, Gene Montgomery (Charleston, Illinois), born in Bone Gap, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his brothers, Ben Montgomery and Jess Montgomery; and his pet Bandit. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Montgomery of Charleston, IL; his children, Vickie Austin (Tom) of Camargo, IL, Jane Bell (Chuck) of Greenup, IL, Teresa Montgomery (Ken) of Charleston, IL, Robert Gene Montgomery, Jr. (Amanda) of Sullivan, IL and Tim Montgomery (Kristi) of Sullivan, IL; his sister Patsy Johnson (Don) of San Bernardino, CA; and his sister-in-law Dorothy Montgomery of Ocala, FL.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 12 great- grandchildren.

It is requested that donations in his honor be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude PL, Memphis, TN 38105.
