Kris Mummel wrote a sympathy message

“My condolences to your family. I moved to Charleston almost 2 years ago. I live across the street from Betty. I would see her outside working with her plants or sitting on her driveway enjoying the beautiful weather. My most memorable time was watching her blow bubbles on her driveway. It made me smile as she was having fun. My biggest regret is that I never went over to say hi. I've seen all the movement and knew that something must have happened to her. I will miss her. Sincerely, Kris Mummel”
