With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ansel J. Atwood (Charleston, Illinois), born in Hutsonville, Illinois, who passed away on July 8, 2019 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ansel Atwood and May Atwood (Pearce). He is survived by: his wife Roberta Jane Rains; his daughters, Jeanie Atwood of Valparaiso, Joan Dresdow (Robert) of Charleston, Melissa Jane Spivey (Edward) of Hutsonville and Jennifer Golden Rownd (Gary) of Valparaiso, IN.; his niece Kathy Ann Anderson of Dayton; and his nephew Steven Atwood of West Union, IL.. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice with envelopes available at the funeral home.
