He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Henry G. Pahlmann and Flora M. Schone Pahlmann; his wife Phyllis Jean Bennett; his children, Julie Pahlmann of Jacksonville and Brian Pahlmann (Pat) of Aberdeen, Scotland; his grandchildren, John Robert Finch (Courtney), Christina Finch Martin and Phyllicia Pahlmann; his great grandchildren, Evangeline and Evander Martin; his siblings, Gerald Pahlmann (Virgie) of Chapin and Lorraine Sandidge of Springfield; his daughter Lori Manker; and his brother Wendell Pahlmann (Margaret). He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church.
