With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ronald Smothers of Channahon, Illinois, born in Cairo, Illinois, who passed away on January 22, 2024 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, W. Eugene Smothers and Fannie "Sis" Campbell (Burns); his son Thomas; and his godchildren, Kelly Pifer (Hash) and William "Billy" Stewart.
He is survived by: his significant other Joann Smothers (Fatland); his daughters, Rhonda Callans (Mike) and Jodi Denton; his grandchildren, Lori Toth, Travis Denton (Ali), Alyssa Kelly (Bailey) and Paige Callans; his great grandchild Georgia Denton (Kelly); his sister Patricia Smothers; his nieces and nephews, Kim and Greg Stewart; his sister Linda McKee (late Ron); and his nieces and nephews, Laurie Bullinger (Drew), Susan Sarkisian (Andy) and Ronald McKee (Alisha).
