He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Merle Hoffman and Bernice Hoffman (Milligan); his wife Beverly Maria Mussario of Channahon; his children, Kathy Giacomi (Jay) of Channahon, Dan Hoffman (Wendy) of Channahon and Ed Hoffman (Paula) of St. Johns, Florida; his grandchildren, Jenna Bleuer (Ryan), Allison Hubbard (Andrew), Brad Giacomi (Raisa), Dan Hoffman Jr., Joe Hoffman (Megan Andrist), Meagan Hoffman (Alan Reece), Brandon Wong and Cameron Wong; his great grandchildren, Max, Mason, Madelyn Bleuer, Emma and Henry Hubbard; and his sister Sheila Frye of Sun City. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
