He is survived by: his spouse Sandy Thornton; his sons, Greg Thornton (Nancy), Bruce Thornton (Colleen), Phillip Thornton (Marie) and Matthew Thornton; and his grandchildren, Michelle, Vanessa, Kaitlyn, Samantha, Sadie, Owen, Tessa and Silas.
