He is survived by: his wife Patricia Murphy of Channahon; his children, Dan Murphy Jr. (Lisa) of Delaware, Patrick Murphy (Melissa) of Channahon and Erin Wegner (Craig) of Channahon; his grandchildren, Mikayla, Mason, Avery, Jack Murphy and Jaclyn Wegner; and his nieces and nephews, Kathleen Ritchie (Eugene), Michelle Bobek (Ken), Kevin Murphy (Laura) and Timothy Murphy (Angela).
In lieu of flowers, Memorials in his name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital would be appreciated.
