It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Warren Wessels (Champaign, Illinois), born in Fairbury, Illinois, who passed away on August 16, 2018, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his spouse Lois Wessels; his sister Joyce Mildred of Bloomington; his children, Kathryn Dell, Karen Wessels of Chicago and Kyle Wessels of Green Garden; and his grandchildren, Brian, Joseph, Thomas Dell, Erario, Ashley, Emma Wessels and Elyse Pociecha.

He worked as a volunteer at the Carle Hospital, logging thousands of hours and quickly becoming part of an elite crew known as "the A-Team." He created Alzheimer's support groups to help others after his wife Lois was diagnosed.
