With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Tom Schwalbe (Champaign, Illinois), born in Decatur, Illinois, who passed away on August 21, 2022 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edwin Schwalbe and Marcella Schwalbe; his siblings, Larry Schwalbe, Brian Schwalbe and Marcia Schwalbe; his former wife Jorjean Schwalbe; his daughter Anthea Schwalbe (Christina Schwalbe); his wife Nancy Schwalbe; his children, Matt Smith, Christina Schwalbe and Katie Smith; and his grandchildren, Will Steigmann, Luke Steigmann, Oliver Smith, Charlie Smith and Pierce Fonner.

Donations in memory of Tom may be made to CHEZ Veterans Center or St. John Lutheran Church.
