It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sidney S. Micek in Champaign, Illinois, born in Columbus, Nebraska, who passed away on July 14, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his children, Robb Micek (Traci Buskey), Marc Micek (Sandra Cordova), Marcy Micek Baker (Paul), Khloe Snell Broelmann (Chris) and Mandy Snell; and his grandchildren, Ryan, Lauren, Nate, Sydney, Brooke, Megan, Paige, Sam, Riggley, Max, Braeden, Kambel and Eliana. He is also survived by his seven siblings.
In recognition of Sid's legacy in higher education, and his commitment to philanthropy, his family would warmly welcome contributions in his honor to be made to one of three charitable causes that he established during his life.
