With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Say Sylavong of Champaign, Illinois, who passed away on November 12, 2021 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her spouse Pong Sylavong; and her children, Bounthane Sylavong (Hoa), Bounthanh Sylavong (Thongbay) of Albany, Oregon. and Touy Sengsouvanh. She is survived by: her daughter Chansy Savathphoune (Lee) of Champaign; her granddaughters, Thongsay Khathakhanthaphixay, Cathy McArthur and Somphon "Sam" Penland (Roy); her great grandchildren, Metta Khathakhanthaphixay, Alexsia Acosta, Jasmine Davis Khathakhanthaphixay, Samara McArthur and Jerry Phomrikith Khathakhanthaphixay; her grandchildren, Charlene Syravong (Jonathanh Dang), Chanhsavat Sylavong, Manivanh Syravong (Tom Watson), Kaysone Syravong, Vilath Sylavong (Paulette), Somphone Beasley (Bill), Michael Syravong (Lisa), Khamla Savathphoune, Chansouk Savathphoune, Khamsay Nainani (Amit) and Linn Syravong (Melissa); and her great grandchildren, Vincent Dang, Nathan Dang, Jason Allenby, Tom Thidsady Khathakhanthaphixay, Samuel McArthur, Reiley Syravong, Evan Syravong, James Watson, Samson McArthur, Will Beasley, Milo Syravong, Kian Syravong, Cassandra Penland, Sydney Beasley, Avea Syravong, Shaan Nainani, Madison Nainani, Max Savathphoune and Isaiah Penland.
