She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Lamendola and Margie Lamendola (Hammer); her spouse Thomas E. Smith; and her brother Robert Lamendola. She is survived by: her daughters, Lori Smith of Champaign and Lisa Smith of Champaign; her siblings, William Lamendola (Darlene Veit) of Tolono and Victoria Millage (Mike) of Urbana; and her sister-in-law Linnea Lamendola of Sullivan. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Cross Catholic Church, Daily Bread Soup Kitchen or a charity of choice.
