He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Elmer Lewis Idleman and Mary Alice Walters; his daughters, Ursulla Alexii and Alexandra Mary; his wife Olga; and his siblings, Thomas Idleman (Deb), Hedwig Featherling (Randy) and Paul Idleman (Susie).

In lieu of customary remembrances, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in Robert's name.
