It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert A Atkins (Champaign, Illinois), born in Flat Rock, Illinois, who passed away on October 20, 2022, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, O. D. Atkins and Cleo Atkins (Stout); and his brother Byard Atkins (Dorothy Bradley Atkins). He is survived by: his wife Constance McGill Atkins; his grandchildren, Christina Atkins Matousek (Michael), Matthew Atkins (Dawn Phalen), Rachel Stuckey, Kara Stuckey, Joshua Stuckey, Michael Atkins and Benjamin Atkins; and his stepsons, John McGill, Jeff McGill, Kevin McGill and Brian McGill. He is also survived by his 3 children and their spouses.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or to the Dr. Robert Atkins Memorial Fund at the University of Illinois Foundation.
