He was predeceased by: his former wife Marilynne B. Davis; and his parents, Plaford Milton and Zona B. Davis. He is survived by: his children, Paul Mark, Glenn Stokes and Marinell Kathryn; and his grandchildren, Therese, Spencer, Tricia, Grace, Peter, Hannah and Ella.
He went on to become Sr. Vice President for the Foundation for American Communications in Los Angeles.
