In loving memory of Patsy Jones of Champaign, Illinois, who departed this world on January 1, 2025 at the age of 88. Patsy leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Bateman and Gladys Bateman; and her siblings, Keith, Larry Bateman and Nancy Fritschle.
She is survived by: her husband Bob; her sister Sheri Vandergriff (Jerry); her daughters, Jill Hasty (Robert) and Amy Kappesser; and her grandchildren, Katherine Blas, Danielle Denney (Anthony), Nicholas Hasty, Colleen Kidd, Erin Elliott (Cameron) and Kellie Applegate (Travis). She is also survived by six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center (710 N Neil St, Champaign, IL 61820). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society.
