Morgan Powell Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Morgan Powell (Champaign, Illinois), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 30, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Muriel Powell (Freehill) and John Roger Powell; his wife Terri Powell (Gaylor); his former wife Sandra (Burch); his son Thomas Powell; and his brother J. Roger Powell.
He is survived by: his children, Sharla (Scott Stevenson), Margo (Glenn Thomas) and Daniel (Tracy Powell); his grandchildren, Cole, Luke, Lydia Stevenson, Haley (Thomas), Coby McNeal, Reed, Jackson Thomas and Aveleen (Brady Powell); and his sister Julann (John Boatner).
The Champaign Park District and Foundation will be honoring Morgan with a Legacy Award at this time. In his memory, donations may be made to a charity closest to Morgan's heart: Champaign Park District or Allerton Park & Retreat Center.
