He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Edward 'Eddie' and Mary Personett Loftus; his siblings, Emily Gallivan, Julie Jacobs and Tom Loftus; his brothers-in-law, John Jacobs and Harold Klitzing; and his grandson Colin Loftus.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Loftus of Champaign; his son Tim Loftus (Sarah) of Savoy; his siblings-in-law, Dave Gallivan of Neoga, Paul Winter of Altamont, Lucille Klitzing of Altamont and Debbie Loftus of Ivesdale; and his grandchildren, Gavin, Bridget and Maggie Loftus of Savoy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the either of the Catholic churches or St. John Lutheran Church, Champaign.
