Michael Hynds Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Hynds of Champaign, Illinois, who passed away on February 14, 2021, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Ann Hynds (Bradley); and his brother John Hynds. He is survived by: his father Edward J. Hynds; his sons, Michael and Mitchell Hynds of Champaign; his siblings, Richard Hynds, Patrick Hynds of Champaign, Elizabeth Czajkowski of Champaign and Margaret Hynds of Pioneer, California; and his stepmother Sandra M. Hynds. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He enjoyed giving back to his community and helping many charitable organizations in the Champaign-Urbana area including the Don Moyer Boys & Girls Club, CU Schools Foundation, Illini Lodge 17, among others. On several occasions Michael deposited his very valuable gold coins into Salvation Army donation cans at Christmas time with an anonymous note.
