It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Kathryn Childress of Champaign, Illinois, born in Du Quoin, Illinois, who passed away on August 10, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Richard Thomas and Muriel Virginia Matlavish (Dunn); her husband Ronald Childress; and her sister Christine Kelley. She is survived by: her sisters, Virginia Ford (John) of Longmont, CO and Martha Willi of Champaign, IL; and her brother-in-law Tom Kelley of Du Quoin. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
