She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Kermit Nogle and Ruth Nogle (Brown); her husband Harold Hempel, Jr.; her children, Richard Hempel (Lisa) of Champaign, John Hempel (Bethany) of Westfield, IN and Michele Hempel of Champaign; and her grandchildren, Todd Hempel, Hannah Tarter, Ashlyn Hempel, Marisa Hempel and Logan Hempel.

Linda K. Hempel, 72, of Champaign, died at 1:42am on October 20, 2020 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
