Laurie B. Shanks Obituary

We are sad to announce that on April 5, 2022, at the age of 61, Laurie B. Shanks of Champaign, Illinois, born in Urbana, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father Charles Beaird; her significant other Steve Shanks; and her brother-in-law Dean McMorris. She is survived by: her family Steve Shanks; her children, Lance II Burnam (Katie Lenartowicz), Lucas Burnam (Haley), Lindsey Burnam, Nick Shanks (Denise) and Andrew Shanks (Adri); her grandchildren, Lydia Wertz (Cooper Reed), Lance III, Colton Burnam, Maddon, Theo Burnam, Mason, Fendley, Sawyer Shanks, Ophelia and Henry Shanks; her great grandchild Rosalynn Reed; her pet Prince; her mother Karen Johnson (Carl); her siblings, Gwen McMorris, Butch Beaird (Julie) and Brian Johnson (Kelly); and her parents-in-law, Sid and Marty Shanks. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
