It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laura Bernice Engelhardt of Champaign, Illinois, born in Mound City, Illinois, who passed away on November 5, 2023, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Claxton and Winnie Luttrell Claxton; her husband Karl; her daughter Barbara; her grandson Ricky; and her siblings, Norma Jean Rozeck, Lucille Schielke and Dwight Claxton.
She is survived by: her siblings, Cyntha Hedge (Gary) and John Claton (Sue). She is also survived by seven granddaughters, thirteen great grandchildren and 2 great great grandsons.
