He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Ranney and Virginia Ranney (Deege); his parents-in-law, Charles and Norma Jean Teater; and his aunt Layre Eller.
He is survived by: his former wife Jeanie Hopewell; his grandchild JaneAnne; his wife Karen Teater; his children, Kevin (Shannon), Jillian Knutson (David) and JaneAnne Parker (David); his grandchildren, Madeline, Grant Knutson, Emma, William Parker, James and Nora Ranney; his siblings-in-law, Chuck Teater (Ivy), Bill Teater (Debbie) and Sue Pringle (Ric); and his cousins, Rae Ann Salter, Resa Lovan and Jeanie DeWolf (Dave).
Jack died of complications of COVID-19.
Jack G. Ranney, of Champaign, Illinois, died Monday, November 23, 2020, minutes into his 81st year, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, Illinois.
