With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Irene Elizabeth Lamkin of Champaign, Illinois, born in Beardstown, Illinois, who passed away on April 26, 2022 at the age of 103. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis H. Korsmeyer and Amelia Korsmeyer (Fricke); her husband Raymond W. "Burrhead" Lamkin; her stepdaughter Patsy Spinks; and her siblings, Melbourne, Norman (Betty), Willard and Joan Korsmeyer.
She is survived by: her stepgrandson Phillip J. Spinks of Boston, MA; her sister Dorothy Lamb (Lafe) of Frederick, IL; and her friend Barbara Howell of Champaign, IL. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
