With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Halestine Session (Champaign, Illinois), born in Hartsville, South Carolina, who passed away on April 18, 2021 at the age of 88. She was predeceased by: her parents, Boykin Jackson and Emma Peterson Jackson; her son Darrel Ray Session; her husband David Henry Session; and her siblings, Dozelle Mayshack, Ruthene Bailey, Girlee Cuffie, Helen Hines, Idelia Bess, Jerry Jackson, Albert Jackson, Cleveland Jackson of Calvin Jackson, W. J, Mack Jackson, Boykin, Jr. and Revennah Jackson.

She is survived by: her sons, Kendal Maurice Session (Jackie) and Darrell Ray Session; her siblings, Cleo Jackson of Hartsville, SC, Betty Parrott of Simpsonville, SC and Leonard Jackson (Sharon) of Glendale, WI; her grandchildren, Miesha (Robert) of Washington, Courtney Cooper and Erica Davis; and her great grandchildren, Jada, Robert, Zara, Kennedi, Chase and Savannah. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Burial will be in Centerville AME Cemetery, Hartsville, S. C. Due to Covid 19 restrictions will be enforced.
