With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gerald Bazzell of Champaign, Illinois, who passed away on October 15, 2021 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Bazzell and Paulette Bazzell of Fairbury; his brother Kenneth Bazzell of Fairbury; and his daughter Monica Rene Bazzell Rittenhouse of Rantoul. He is survived by: his wife Carole Bazzell; and his daughters, Valerie Preslar (Dan Naber) of Iowa, Anita Gaines (Bryce) and Bridget Ault (David) of Rossville. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
