He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Mclaughlin and Ruby Mclaughlin (Blacker); his wife Darlene McLaughlin (Whitt); his siblings, Larry McLaughlin and Christine Amos; his daughter Betty Stover; his son-in-law Leslie; his grandson Josh Gullion; and his siblings-in-law, Ed Whitt, Brad Bradshaw, Richard Stalter, Mary Colon and Pauline McLaughlin.
He is survived by: his children, Georgia Chase St (Gary), Doris Beland (Tom), Darla, Randy, J. R., Mark and George A. McLaughlin; his grandchildren, Curt Chase, Lisa Whitcas, Glory Roche, Ginny Whitlock (Randy), LeeRoy Stover (Brandy), Jeanette Dunham (Rodney), Chrissy Jefferies (Robert), Jim McLaughlin (Shawn), Richard Stover, Derrick Levitt and Darrin Levitt; and his siblings, Doris, Dixie, Erva Rose (Lew) and Tom McLaughlin Portage (Peggy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
