He was predeceased by: his parents, Virginia Wieneke (Harris) and Richard Wieneke; and his son Michael Edward (Katie) of Greenwood, SC. He is survived by: his former wife June Mitchell; his wife Peggy Gates of Champaign, IL.; his children, Mark (Angie) of Roberts, IL, David (Lindsey) of White Heath, IL and Lisa of Gualala, CA; and his grandchildren, Claire, Clarisa, Collin, Laney, Colton, Wyatt, Hazel and Gabe.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Carle Hospice, Crisis Nursery of Champaign County, Champaign Co Humane Society, or organization of your choice.
