With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Chester Neff (Champaign, Illinois), who passed away on August 10, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Chapin Neff and Daisy Catherine Rogers; his wife Betty Joan Lung; and his siblings, Arthur Neff, Henry Neff, Carolyn Mapes, Margaret Freitag, Flora Neff and Dora Vassaka.
He is survived by: his children, David Neff of Champaign, Diane Neff of Normal, Terry Neff of Monticello and Debra Petersen (Steve) of Bloomington, Three; his granddaughters, Ashley Stevenson (Mike), Kelsey Petersen of Bloomington and Kat Meyers (Paula) of Madison; his great grandchildren, Kaleb Stevenson, Kali Stevenson, Myla Stevenson, Jayden Stevenson, Zoey Stevenson of Bloomington and Alexis Meyers; his sisters, Elizabeth Scott of Iowa, Lois Moore (Jerry) of Fort Worth, Beverly Davis (Jim) of Kahoka and Catherine Ballard (Mike) of Danvers; and his siblings-in-law, Rex Mapes of Ohio, Sherry Neff of Indiana and Mary Lung. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
