She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Newton and Starling Orpha Hampel (Neal); and her brother Lawrence Hampel. She is survived by: her husband Ivan Fink of Arcola, IL; her son Dr. Michael Jacobs of Rockland, MA; her stepchildren, Kyle Fink of Tuscola, IL and Ashley Pollitt (Brian) of Danville, IL; and her stepgrandchildren, Miles and Vivian Pollitt of Danville, IL..

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Champaign County Humane Society.
