He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Muehling and Mary Alt Muehling; and his siblings, Bernice Eifert, Dorothy Koppenhoefer, Sylvia Jacobsen, Bernard, Charles, Richard and Robert Muehling.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Long Muehling; his sons, Thomas Muehling and Craig Muehling (Christine); his grandchildren, Rebecca Muehling (James Atkinson), Rebecca Wells (Corey) and Timothy Potten; his great grandchildren, Olivia, Kate Potten, Vincent, Quentin Atkinson, Aiden and Elijah Wells; and his brother Donald Muehling (Kay). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
